If the recent new surrounding the "Year of the Farmer" campaign has been any indication, our favorite automakers are no strangers to giving back. After all, 'tis the season here at Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Santa Fe.
And now that our friends in the Great White North have gotten caught up in the spirit of giving, we couldn't be prouder of what they've accomplished.
Just last week, Chrysler Canada announced that their employees and retirees in Windsor-Essex County went and donated $1,150,376.14 to their local 2014 United Way campaign. Not only is it the largest donation they've ever made to the campaign in the 25+ years they've been doing it, but it was enough to bump their giving total up to $3,870,746.14.
Like we said, the pride is palpable.
"The employees and retirees in our Chrysler Canada plants and offices are extremely proud to be part of another million dollar campaign for the United Way of Windsor and Essex County," says Dave Buckingham, Chief Operating Officer of Chrysler Canada. "These funds will go a long way in providing critical services and assistance to those most in need within the community."1
So if you'd like to learn more about how Chrysler and their employees are working to give back to those in need, we'd be happy to fill you in at our dealership here in Santa Fe, NM. Or if you're in need of some wheels to help you navigate these winter roads, the 2014 Chrysler Town & Country will not disappoint.
