There has been a lot of talk recently about the next incarnation of the legendary Jeep Wrangler which is due out sometime next year. In fact, the brand recently released five different concept vehicles, each with unique technology that could eventually end up on the production model. Recently we were privy to an interview between the gearheads at BoldRide and Jeep CEO, Mike Manley, as they discussed what it takes to get a new model like the 2014 Jeep Wrangler to market.

The guys from BoldRide asked Manley what problems the Wrangler team faced as they designed and created the latest version of this iconic off-roader. Manley said, "I wouldn't call them hurdles, but there are certain things you have to do. It has to be a Wrangler, and that means in every sense of the word. It has to look like a Wrangler. . . . It has to have that clear style link. Second, I think if we got the capability wrong, I'm pretty sure I would not be able to leave my house. We're very, very focused on enhancing capability."1

Manley was also asked about how much interaction the brand had with the companies that produce after-market accessories for Jeep enthusiasts. He confirmed that there is a significant amount of interaction, especially with MOPAR. This year the Jeep brand launched a series of performance parts, that true off-roaders are sure to love.
