Driver assistance systems -- lane departure warning, intelligent cruise control and emergency braking -- are currently some of the most sought-after features when it comes to purchasing a new vehicle. Looking ahead to the future, autonomous car technology is rapidly evolving; it's only a matter of time before an autonomous automobile becomes a standard option. As a leader in autonomous technology testing, global tech-giant Google recently partnered with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to integrate Google's self-driving technology into 100 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivan prototypes. That said, it really is only a matter of time before we see autonomous vehicles, like the Pacifica on the market.

“The opportunity to work closely with FCA engineers will accelerate our efforts to develop a fully self-driving car that will make our roads safer and bring everyday destinations within reach for those who cannot drive," John Krafcick, chief executive of Google's Self-Driving Car Project said in a report.

We're excited to see what comes to fruition from this partnership. If you're currently in the market for a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica come visit our showroom for a test drive.
