Fall hasn't quite begun, but that doesn't mean we can't think about the winter months and the cold and snow that's to come.  The Jeep brand is several steps ahead of you, though, and it's about to release its new Jeep Wrangler Sahara as a Polar edition at the Frankfurt Motor Show, which is taking place right now.

One of the first things you'll notice about this unique ride is its badging: it has the coordinates of Russia's Antarctic Vostok station, which is where the coldest temperature ever was recorded.  It was there that scientists recorded a bone-chilling temperature of -128.56 degrees Fahrenheit.  Brrr!

The Polar edition comes in two icy shades, Billet Silver Metallic or Bright White, and is offered as both a two- and four-door model.  Its windows are deeply tinted, and on its rear hatch it sports a new hard spare-tire cover.  Its exterior look is finished off with 18-inch black-finished aluminum wheels and a Mopar fuel door.

The inside is just as sleek, with black leather and white detailing in the upholstery and high-gloss dashboard trim.  You'll have no problem staying warm as you drive, though, as it boasts heated front seats, and its heavy-pattern slush mats will keep the snow and ice from your boots nice and contained.

Sadly, this edition will only be released in Europe, but it's a cool spin on one of the most iconic Jeep models.
