As many of our customers in the greater Santa Fe area know, it can be really difficult to part with a Dodge vehicle that you've come to really love. It's a feeling that is shared by Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne, but at least he's giving up his beloved Challenger SRT8 for a very good cause.
This April, this special Challenger will be auctioned off for charity. It has a unique, pitch black paint job, "Dark Charcoal" racing stripes, and special Mopar parts, including a lowered suspension. Its exterior styling is further enhanced with 20-inch matte black wheels, smoked taillights, and HEMI badging. Inside this slick-looking ride you'll find a meter for measuring G-force on the dashboard and black leather seats emblazoned with SRT logos.
Under its hood you'll find an engine that matches the Challenger's powerful look: a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 that puts out 470 horsepower. It can do a quarter mile in under 13 seconds and accelerates from zero-to-sixty in just 5. Despite these amazing specs, it still manages to get a remarkable 23 miles per gallon on the highway.
We're sure the stakes will be high for this one-of-a-kind performance vehicle, and we'll let you know how the auction turns out right here on the Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Santa Fe blog.
You may not be able to get your hands on the steering wheel of this specific car, but we do have plenty of new Challenger models here at our 4470 Cerrillos Rd. Santa Fe, NM 87507 showroom, so stop by to test drive one today.
