The American Cancer Society's annual Cattle Baron's Ball is a slightly off-the-wall event that is held to support a cause that is very important to many members of the Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Santa Fe team.  This is the eleventh year that the event has been held to raise money for the organization, and so far, the Ball has helped to raise more than $10 million for the fight against cancer.

This year, one of our favorite automakers is helping to raise that number even more and is auctioning off an exclusive, special edition of the 2013 Chrysler 300C sedan.

The vehicle is designed by fashion designer John Varvatos, who hails from the Motor City, and has a unique dashboard setup, titanium and black chrome accents on its exterior, 20-inch titanium painted aluminum wheels, and a European fascia.  A very limited number of this vehicle were produced, so it's expected to go for a pretty penny.  All of the proceeds from the sale will go towards helping to fight cancer in the city of Detroit.

The Ball itself is organized and staffed by both volunteers and executives from Chrysler, including President and CEO Saad Chehab, and other large corporations.  It has proven to be a popular and successful event in the past, and we're sure that this year's will not be an exception.

Be sure to follow our blog to learn more about what the automaker is doing to support charities, both here in the Santa Fe, NM area and across the country.
